***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***
THE HOUSTON ZOMBIE WALK AWARDED 501(c)(3) DESIGNATION, ANNOUNCES 2013 EXPANSION PLANS!
January 28, 2013
The Houston Zombie Walk has been awarded the coveted 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service with an effective date of April, 2011. They have announced both geographic and organizational expansions for 2013.
“Yeah, we’ve been approached by several studios and Los Angeles marketing companies to provide support, so it was natural to set up a business development shop there” Said Founder Darren Tompkins. “Our team there is longtime supporters Steve Keisling and Lindsey Sherman who both do bus dev in their day jobs.”
In addition, Zombie Walk has partnered up with Comicpalooza, The National Museum of Funeral Services, Houston Haunted Historical Tours, and AGRO Sideshow to bring you the 2013 Houston Halloween Fest October 18th and 19th.
“Zombie Walk and the Halloween Fest are aiming to be THE destination for Halloween in Texas. It’s now a two day event with movie screenings, sideshows, kid’s fest, and haunted tours leading up to the 2013 Zombie Walk at Jones Plaza which will now feature two musical acts in addition to the walk for charity itself.” Stated Executive Director Lady Cocchia
The Houston Zombie Walk currently has nine different events scheduled for 2013, with more being added every week.
Commander D followed up with “Yes we are getting more and more requests for support. The only thing missing is your involvement!”
The Houston Zombie Walk is a 501(c)(3) hosting fundraising events benefitting the Houston Children’s Charity, Dove Key Ranch Wildlife Rehab, and the Houston Humane Society.

Once again we are starting off early and BIG in 2013!
Here is Commander D working his magic along with Lady C to find some great sponsorship and working partners at the Houston Halloween and Party Expo for this season. BIG things are coming your way!!!

ATTENTION HORDE! Wanna be more involved with the Houston Zombie Walk?
We are recruiting volunteers for 2013! Basic requirements are that you must be 21+ and have reliable transportation! This isn’t like other walks you’ve heard of. In 2012, we held or supported 20 different events. These volunteer positions come with a lot of perks! If you are interested, email Lady Cocchia at talk2ladyjesus@yahoo.com
Here’s a cool Christmas/New Years gift from some friends in California!
Thanks so much Scott and Marianne!

Donation time again! Darren and Lady presenting the Houston Children’s Charity with their share of the funds! This money goes directly to the HCC Bed Program!
